As parents, the Mykidstime team is always on the lookout for events taking place that parents, children and families will be interested in. Here's a roundup of family events taking place this June Bank Holiday weekend in Kildare that caught our eye.

June Fest 31st May - 1st June

The Newbridge Community Festival runs from Thursday to Monday, with Family entertainment Saturday and Sunday

All Ireland Sheep Shearing Championships 2nd and 3rd June

The Sheep Shearing championships take place this year at Punchestown Racecourse, with lots of Family entertainment including a special appearance by Jedward.

Tri-Athy Family Fun Day Sat 2nd June from 11am

The family fun day takes place in Athy Town Centre with lots of entertainment promised

Family Fun Race Day Monday 4th June

Naas Racecourse holds one of its great family fun race days with lots of free entertainment.
